I am attempting to setup a backup routine for one of my computers on my home network. The Machine that has TI 9 installed on it is has windows XP home and the machine I wish to backup files on is a Win2K Pro. When I attempt to set up the network Log on I type in the user name for that computer ( I have only one user set up on that machine) I get an unnknown user or bad password error. I have noticed that there is a warning that the log on might not work if there is no password, which is my case. So here is my question, If you do not have a password set up for windows on login how do you get TI 9.0 to automaticlly sign in to the machine so that you can have it run backups?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello Fishdave,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
We do apologize for the delayed response.
First of all, please make sure that you have Administrator rights on your computer.
Please do the following:
- Go at Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> Scheduled task;
- Schedule a new task with Add New Task wizard;
- Use the default user name in Acronis True Image 9.0 which you will get during a new task creation in Windows Scheduled Tasks.
We are always at your service should you have any further questions.
Thank you.

Maybe I've misunderstood what you're trying to do Fishdave, but my reading of your post is that the files you want to back up are on a different machine than the one on which TI9 is installed. If that's correct, then the reason it isn't working is that TI9 simply can't do that!
You can store images elsewhere on your network and you can restore them from elsewhere on your network, but you can't image files on one PC using a TI9 which is installed on a different PC.
You should be using True Image 8.0 Corporate Workstation which has the remote capabilities you need.8)
