Hi all,
After udating Drweb, I noticed that my Key date is 29.08.04,
and my subscription date is 30.08.2003.
Now, unless I'm totally losing my memory, I thought my key date was 2003.
Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong, and if I'm not, why the date changed?
Thanks in advance,
Douglas

I believe this is how DrWeb License works. If you open you .key file you would see 2 dates:
Expires ( 1 year more longer then SubscriptionExpires)
SubscriptionExpires
So you can use your program one more year without interruption but won't be able to update or upgrade( After SubscriptionExpires) .

Seems that it all depends on where you got your license from and which license exactly you have. But in general Expires states how long the program will work as a full version (i.e. with archive scanning etc.) and SubscriptionExpires tells how long you will be able to download virus sigs.
How long you can upgrade (i.e. download a newer version) however depends on which versions your keyfile supports. See the Version= tag in the key file for this.

I just checked mine and it read KEY-<04.01.04
Suscription-<04.01.03
I knew the KEY date was correct, so I just reinstalled and both now read <04.01.04.
Would be interesting what would happen if you did same.
Oh by the way, after reading posts about problems with the uninstall, I went into the DrWeb Directory afer reboot and manually uninstalled SpIDer Mail, rebooted and then deleted the Directory. It seems SpIDer Mail isn't uninstalled with DrWeb. ???

Thank you all for your resposes. That explains it, so I guess it is my memory.
Sorry for the delay in thanking you... I forgot I posted. ;D
(actually, it's computer problems).

Douglas
