Firetrust the developers of mailwasher and benign have released a new product http://www.firetrust.com/firetrustsitehound/

"The SiteHound toolbar is your first line of defense against internet threats including phishing, scams, spyware, adware, security risks and viruses from rogue websites.

SiteHound is free to use, or you can upgrade to the enhanced version
.SiteHound is a free add-on to Internet Explorer.
(Users of Firefox - a version is coming soon.)

SiteHound will alert you when you enter a site which is known to contain:

Fraudulent claims or scams
Offensive material
Security vulnerabilities
Spyware or Adware
Spam related material
or other content deemed to be unsafe

Specifically, SiteHound blocks these categories

Adult
Spyware
Spam Advertising
Phishing
Possible scam or fraud
Misleading or False Advertising
Pharming
Rogue or Suspect Product
Adware
Malware or Virus

thats a nice review you have done . I loaded it up and fortunately did not have any issues . I agree that the free version is lacking in information as to just what the problems are . Also a full version for a month trial would be good . I think I would trust firetrust more than the ie7 version , however thats just my own feeling. I would not consider paying though for the full version of this .

Dear Twig, thanks and I agree with what you say about Firetrust, sitehound and IE7.
After trying the various toolbars, I went back and tried Fraudeliminator again to see if I could sort out the browser freezing problem. Since doing a clean re-install it seems to be working better than before and so far no probs. The 'buynow' popups seemed to have settled down too and not too much of a problem, I would advise you trying FE if Sitehound isnt for you.
