Between those two I'd pick Outpost any day but I'm sure
you'll get others saying ZoneAlarm is better ;)

Check the Outpost forum for the anti-spyware comparison
thread. Seems there was a review of anti-spyware on
PCPro but you need to register there to view it ;)
p80 of the Nov issue

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/

the results were

In this, Outpost 3.0 achieved a detection rate of 81 percent, removal of 72
percent and blocking of 53 percent. In comparison, PC Tools Spware Doctor -
the winner - surprise surprise ;) - achieved 94/88/66
detection/removal/blocking), Sunbelt CounterSpy 88/84/54, WebRoot
SpySweeper 82/80/48, Microsoft AntiSpyware 61/72/41, Lavasoft AdAware
48/62/24 and Spybot Search and Destroy 56/52/36. Outpost would have
gained 4th position in this test (3 other products were also tested).

Choose the firewall you like best, treat the AS pugin as something extra.

OP does seem to add quite a bit of signatures, in the three weeks i've use 3.0 they have added 5000 new signatures.:)
