I am useing opera 9 and it seems to be even faster than ver 8. It boots much faster and opens web pages quicker than before. If any detrimental things show up I will post them here.

This is great news :)
I didn't even realise v9 was on its way, love the prospect of faster webpages.
Did you have to uninstall or can it be installed over the top of the current version?

Thanks to both of you but note it is still beta, think I will wait for the final version.
Hopefully not too far away as I really have got to like Opera since installing.
Will keep check for v9 ;)

I love Opera, I am using Opera 8.5 now, it is my default browser. I knew Opera 9 was still in beta,I'll wait till it is finished and stable then I'll update. I have been using Opera since version 7.10, never a problem.

Hey bigc,
Just installed the new version and as always I install on top.
Wow, I like the new Main bar. :D
Now I can even add more bookmarks, because they aren't displayed
with the icon and text, only with the icon. 8)
Love this browser even more. :-*
Need to explore it some more. ;D

Been an Opera user since version 2x, also betas, never had any drastic problems with their betas unlike other betas.

I use no toolbars - only keyboard shortcuts - for larger display area.
EDIT: Ooops... I see that the Address bar is called a toolbar ???
So, I have one toolbar (at the bottom).
What initially appealed to me about Opera (back as far as version 3.2) was the wide range of keyboard shortcuts. And now, you can remap the keystrokes. What a wonderful feature!
Just curious as to how many other opera users use mostly keystrokes vs the mouse.
Opera is Great!!
