Like to know if somebody has used ARCAVIR 2005 ? Some comments about resource use, rate detection, genral terms ?

Thank you,

Fairly good overall . Detection is decent and the reg monitor is awesome . Cleaning infections is decent as well . There are better ones available but , I feel comfortable with it . I have chosen to go with NOD for some time now though . I strongly believe NOD is better . But , Arcavir is fine WITH some added tools .

I used it for almost a year and it protected me well. Also has a firewall which is/was decent, Lightweight and good support. Not in the same category as KAV, NOD32 and others but will give the average user good protection.

NOD is better Why ? Just because has a better detection ? or Why ?

Sorry Larouse .
NOD is better at detecting and cleaning . The heuristics of NOD make it so good at catching things before they can be added to a database . Arcavir will protect you . It is good . Not as effective as NOD though . NOD also tends to unpack files and clean a bit better . That is why I say what i say .
I really hope that helps

Yeah, I was just reinforcing your comments. I had not seen any posts about Arcvir in so long, I almost forgot about it, so I thought I would throw my 2 cents worth in. Good to see your still around.

Well ArcaVir's proactive protection isn't that bad either...
Heuristics on Extreme setting are very aggressive and they generated only 2 false positives to me in whole time i was using it.

Yup thats correct. ArcaVir is fairly light and detects quite OK....cleaning is not bad at all, and the heuristics are quite OK as well. The Firewall is very good. :)

But NOD32 is still better. :)
