Is it possible to get a virus in your T I backup image, if you get a virus on C drive, after you have made a clean backup image?

Assuming that the TI executable being used to do a restore was on a virus clean system or the TI executable on the bootable rescue CD was virus clean then the restoration from the image file would be virus free.
This assumes the image file itself has not been compromised.
An image file, like every other file, is just a data file.
If someone knew the format of the image file and the compression algorithm used then they could write a program to modify it. Even so, to successfully modify an image to introduce a virus would be unbelievably complex.
Any such modification program would then need to get onto a system in order to compromise any image file stored on it.
Everybody has a memory resident virus checker and firewall software don't they?
Of course, the virus writer would also have to get access to the image file on rewritable media. It couldn't be modified in situ on a CD-R.
So the short answer is: No, forget it, it just isn't going to happen.
