Linux Or MacOs...?

Hi,
I'm thiniking about switching from windows, to either Linux or MacOs, what are the pros and the cons?. My main concerns is security.

if you go with a mac, you have to buy a new computer but if you go with linux, you can use your existing computer...

but before you do, you might as well try live knoppix cd or dsl-linux first as these two doesn't need to be installed. you just have to put in the cd and boot from it. that way, you'll have a first hand experience as what linux is all about...

if you want ease of use, go for a mac...

as far as security is concerned, i believe linux and mac are secured right out of the box...

I have tried Ubuntu, Kanotix, Kill Bill, Fedora Core4, White Box, DSL, Morphix, RH, Suse, Slax, Knoppix & Gentoo 2005.1 but I love Linux Puppy best of all...
