martindijk,
I had some problems at first last night. I do all my down loads with a download accelerator. I could not get it with Star Downloader. It acted as if there was no file. When I used Download Express I got a pop up box asking for a user name and password. Took me a few minutes to realize it wanted my NOD32 user name and password. Once I supplied it the download when fine.
Not sure if this is your problem or not.

I don't think that is the issue here, usally you get the login screen where you have to provide your username and password but i don't even get that, after waiting a while it shows a message "couldn't find server" so hopefully it is something temporarely (i hope)
See you,
Martin

It is not only for 95/98 but for all the download links

Hi Martin,
I just tried it: no problem.
I went to :
http://www.nod32.com/download/download.htm
For Windows 98 : I downloaded nd98enst.exe
Connection was with sun.uid0.sk
To be able to download it, you have to fill in your username and password which you've got from ESET when you last bought (or renewed) your NOD32 subscription.

We've checked it out - as Jan has, see his post coming with a screen shot above - and all works just fine.
Martin,
Please drop me an email with registration specs, as well as a list of software running while trying to download. Let's see if we can figure this one out ;).
regards.

I can download the NOD32 v2 for Windows 95/98/ ME standard version with your u/p with no problems from www.nod32.com.
Have you tried :
ping sun.uid0.sk ?

I shall try downloading it from work and burn it onto a cd, that would be the last option otherwise i will be stuck with version 1 haha, what a hassle to get a piece of software.

The problem seems to be in connection between your machine and sun.uid0.sk . The sun is running, so:
- if you are using firewall, check if the above server is allowed
- check the problem with your ISP
Or do you want me to send you that file by e-mail (cca 5.6 MB)?

In case even that doesn't work out, drop me an email and I'll sent you the program burned on CD (granted Eset permits me doing so).

Thanks Paul (and other members of Eset), now that is what i call service with a big SSSSS.
Strange however, i disabled every restriction, put every IE setting back to standard and i can't even ping the site.
I will keep on trying for a while, but i don't see any bright light burniing on the horizon.
Thank again for the support guys,
Martin

You don't have to uninstall V1
jan
June 13th, 2003, 01:26 PM
Yeah, it's not needed to uninstall v1 - more info here. (http://www.nod32.com/support/ans/v1tov2.htm)
I hope you can get there.

You can get a bit more information as to why you can't download a file by going into your temporary internet files and searching for any files that start with
?CodeDownloadErrorLog (sort by name and they will all be right at the top b/c of the ? in the begining).
Drag some of these files to the desktop and open them. There will be a "code download error" at the top which may give a clue as to why the files are not downloading.
If that doesn't help try cleaning out your Temporary Internet Folder.
