Wanted to uninstall True Image 9 and start over. But it does not have the uninstall option listed under programs. I used the control panel( start and remove programs) then installed the latest build. Made a backup image on an external drive. When I brought up the Restore Data Wizard I still had six old filenames still in the filename box. Is there anyway to delete these filenames without having to start all over again uninstalling and reinstalling True Image 9?
Thank you

Use V8.0 and restore the image of your choice. That way your back to where you were before installing V9.0

Hello Rosina,
Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Could you please tell us what you've meant by saying "When I brought up the Restore Data Wizard I still had six old filenames still in the filename box."? Why did you reinstall Acronis True Image 9.0?
Thank you.

In order to delete the old file names from the dropdown selection box, follow Irina Shirokova's instructions in this previous thread titled <How to delete backup names ? TO ALLEN, pls ...> (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=586019).

Wow, you need to use Regedit to clean up the list of backup images!
This is certainly not a product that was ready for release to the consumer.
I have given up on V9 and gone back to V7. Perhaps in 6 months to a year there will be a version of V9 suitable for release.

By the way, if you've found a way of clearing out old User Name entries for MSN Messenger logins let me know!!

I have been using TI since V6 also but I guess that I don't use the dropdown picklist.

Is that some sort of free email service? I don't use that either.

You're talking about your email address being saved when using the web interface to sign into hotmail? Those are stored in a simple cookie, just delete it.

The reason I wanted to uninstall Acronis 9. It wasn't working properly. When I tried to create a full image of my hard drive the process would start and proceed for around five minutes and then start all over again it did this continuously and never completed creating an image of my hard drive. At one point it indicated three more days for completion . After uninstalling build 2277 and installing the latest build 2289 I was able to create an image of my hard drive , but still had the old filenames in the file box.. I followed instructions in a previous reply and did remove them.
Thank you

A bit of brain fade I guess. I meant MSN Messenger login not Hotmail (as you say Segovia, for Hotmail its simply a case of deleting the cookie). Sorry everyone :-[.
