Hello,
My current subscription with EZ-Antivirus on my laptop is about to end and I was looking into NOD32.
From what I've read, NOD32's manual update still goes through the program (ie. you click on the update button).
With EZ, I had to go to their ftp site (ftp://ftpez.ca.com/pub/myeTrust/sigs/10.5/) to manually download the updated definitions file and install it in order to go around the company's firewall.
Is there a similar web/ftp site for NOD32's update files?
Thanks!

You want a manual update so you can keep the file?

Yes. Paul is right. There is not any official way to download the updates manually from a web/ftp site. Of course, a "power" user may figure out by himself how to accomplish this. But I don't see particular motives to do that, since NOD32 Control Center supplies proxy support, solving in this way the problem to get through a corporate firewall. Let alone the fact that a net admin may create local mirrors of the updates released by Eset.
ciao,
Paolo.

Sweet!!!
I didn't know that NOD offers proxy support...
Thanks for the insights!
