View Full Version : Why is it that TDS-3 messed up my printer drivers?

I would like to know why this program destroyed my print drivers to a point where I can not reinstall the drivers?
Also, I would like to know why I am missing alot of files after the install of this program?
Thus far very disappointed in this product and I've only had it a week.

3. Why did this program destroy several help files in Office?
4. Since, I have to spend 12 hours to reinstall my system. How do I obtain a refund for a program that caused so much damage to my system?

Um, what is it that is leading you to believe that the TDS program was responsible for these problems? I have never heard anyone with any remotely similar complaints and given the nature of the program it would be quite a stretch to think that it could be responsible (changed Admin password?!)

I am very sorry that you have experienced such problems with the installation of TDS-3.
As far as getting a refund goes, the best idea would be to email DCS at sales@diamondcs.com.au with your original registration information and discuss the matter with them.
The problems you have described are certainly not common. If you'd still like to discuss the problem in more detail and seek help in resolving it, you can certainly do so here. We'll do whatever we can to help.

TDS is not capable of doing this, and you are the first person (in the 5+ years of TDS) that has reported any problems relating to printer drivers.

I don't know what you've done to your system or what you've let run on it, but I can tell you with absolute certainty right now that TDS is not, and could not have been responsible for these problems. You're the only person who has ever reported these problems, and none of them sound like TDS could possibly be responsible. For example, for TDS to do anything with your administrative password, it would have to be programmed to at least know where this password is stored -- it doesn't know that, nor does it need to know that, so it simply isn't possible for TDS to be causing these problems. Remember, TDS has been ripped apart, reverse engineered and analysed by security experts (and our competitors) for over half a decade, and no problems have ever been reported. I would love to give you an answer as to why you're experiencing problems, but the only answer I can give is that TDS is almost certainly not responsible.
What other programs have you run/installed around the time that the problems started occurring?

Hello Bartman, Sorry to hear about your problems, would you please specify the explicit errors that point to TDS being the culprit?
A description of your Operating system & running programmes would also prove most useful.

Hi Bartman, what a frustrating disaster.
Please first step away from your system and look into answering serious questions of the guys as we're here to help you.
Which operating system are you using? XP Pro with restore possibilities?
Has anything specific happened, as you talk about some specific files which makes my hairs raise and asking you to have a full system scan and some online scans to make sure your system is clean from some nasty infection.
Are you sure you haven't been hacked?
Which other software did you install in the meantime, other AV/AT (with which TDS is compatible), debuggers, encryption tools, anything which can help us to help you locate and solve the problems.
One more thought: did you recently update security patches for your system and updates for other programs, AV, whatever?
Just to get an idea of your system, which we all would like to be OK asap.
Can you also post a startup log from the Hijackthis to see if all that is all right?

Sorry to hear you have so many problems, but I can assure you for 100% TDS is not responsable for it!
Therefore I don't think you will get any refund from the TDS-crew, and besides that, I think an email is the better way to contact DiamondCS about your problems, they are always willing to help you with your problems, even in your particular case where their product is not the reason for screwing-up your system.

The forums are here to support people too as fast as possible, as the info is fast and from many people at the time, certainly in which sounds as complicated as here it's good to have many minds thinking together.
Call it multi-threading :)
It can't be a TDS problem, so to whom to email?
It looks more like a trojan on the lose to say honestly or a hacker gained access, or a very unhappy update or patch. Or maybe a bad uninstall of something.
Remember Bartman had recently urgernt problems with PestPatrol. NHot sure which version, as they are heavy beta testing on new parts.
Many people use or test PP alongside TDS without any problem, between which are no conflicts either.
With XP or ME one can (try to) go back to an older restore point.
Other options if nothing else helps could be an older image or at last a reformat, we're trying to spare you.
I wonder which steps have been taken in all those hours and which failed.
Hoping to see our questions to Bartman answered so we can go through the steps to get the system back to working.
